Our vision is a safe and secure future for men, women and children affected by armed violence and conflict.

About MAG in Vietnam:

MAG has been present in Vietnam since 1998. MAG Vietnam is reducing the risk of death and injury in communities, within two provinces (Quang Binh and Quang Tri), through the delivery of risk education, clearance of Cluster Munitions, and removal and destruction of other items of UXO.

About the role:

Our Technical Field Managers are the core of our work and actively manage and lead our teams of national staff to safely implement our life saving BAC and EOD projects. This role is located in main provincial towns, where many amenities are readily available. About you:

You must be qualified to the equivalent of EOD level 3, with significant experience in the technical and operational management of UXO and Cluster Munitions clearance operations, including task planning and prioritisation, writing and reviewing SOPs, assessing clearance methodology and reviewing operational structures. You will also be experienced in leading teams involved in BAC / EOD operations, with proven experience in the disposal of Aircraft Dropped Bombs and the use of low order techniques. Previous experience of working for a similar organisation, either in the humanitarian or commercial sector is essential. Furthermore, you will have previously delivered EOD 1, 2 and 3 training courses, and be able to mentor and capacity build national staff. You will have a good understanding of information management systems and data analysis to improve operational planning, setting priorities and monitoring of clearance activities. MAG takes the conduct of its staff very seriously, and therefore you will also be required to demonstrate impeccable conduct and respect for others, and the cultures in which we work.
